What to do with life? « Thread Started on Jun 12, 2007, 10:00pm »
Blair had nothing to do now that classes were out again. Uh, she had opted out for spending the summer living with her dad. After living on her own for an entire year, she couldn't see herself back in that house. Of course Blair loved her father, but at the same time, she realized how suffecating he was. Life wasn't easy on them though, losing her mother the way they did so Blair couldn't really blame him for clutching on so tightly. Now that she had her freedom though, she was going to take full advantage of it. Never would her father have let her wander the streets of London, but he wasn't here now.
It was a beautiful summer day and Blair was wearing muggle attire, a white tank top and faded jean Bermuda shorts. Simply navy flip flops adorned her feet and smacked the cobblestone upon which she walked. A cool pair of aviator sunglasses protected her eyes as well as give her a little bit of style. It was underdressed but extremely comfortable. It also made Blair blend well with the muggles which she always seemed perfectly capable of doing.
She passed windows upon windows. The contents varied between clothes and toys and food and people and pretty much everything you could think of. It all brought a smile to Blair face. This place was fascinating compared to the rural witch community she had grown up in. Yes, that had perks of its own, but Muggles obviously knew what they were doing too.
A huge sign hanging above a door read Clue. Blair had no idea what this place was but judging by the people walking in and out in the states they were, Blair guessed it was a bar. It brought a smile to her face. Blair loved bars and so decided to head on in.

Arden smiled, as the bar tender, a young male in his late 20's, slid a large glass of firewhiskey to him. He was celebrating his job in the Ministry by himself, as his girlfriend was out and about London, busying herself with work. He quietly thanked the bartender, sliding him a Galleon and a few Knuts to cover the drink.
He had been sitting by himself, looking over the Minsitry regulations that he had recieved from the Muggle Department. His first task was to look into some mysterious Muggle disappearances in Downtown London, looking suspiciously like dark wizard magic was involved. He sighed, taking another sip from the large mug, swallowing a large gulp of the liquid at his small table in the corner of the bar. It had slowly become his favorite, as the Ministry wasn't too far away, and it was central, making it easy to get to.
Arden had a lot on his mind. From qondering when to ask Esme to marry him, to even the possibility of moving in with eachother, and his adoptive daughter, Janelle. He sighed at the glorious thoughts, staring at the empty chair across form him, imagining Esme there with him, like that night at that beautiful restaurant.

Blair walked in to find a nice smaller bar. It was pretty busy and underlit unless you were right near the bar. Ah, nice atmosphere but it was obvious that it was a Wizard bar. Thank Merlin, Blair didn't have a much taste for Muggle drinks. Since she had drinks on her mind, she might as well head up to get one.
The university took a seat near a man who had just ordered a firewhiskey. Good choice. Blair knew an awful lot about drinks having worked in the Hog's Head. However, Blair wasn't in the mood for a strong drink at the time. Nor one with alcohol for that matter. A nice Butterbeer would suffice for her and she asked for one from the bartender. She couldnt' help but think he was cute, so when he brought out the drink, she gave him a little wink along with her tab.
She took a sip and looked out over the bar. No familiar faces. That is until she brought her eyes back to her drink. Blair recognized the man sitting next to her as one of her old professors. Wow, never thought she'd run into him in a bar, but he looked happy and celebratory, not let's get drunk.
"Professor Warden?" she said quietly, repositioning her swivel stoll to see him properly.

Arden was overjoyed that day, sipping from his drink to celebrate. Two days before he had dinner with his wife, where we told her about his new position as Minister of Magic, he asked her to marry him AND that she was expecting twins. It was the most excitment he had ever had in his entire life.
A small call of his name from a familiar voice lifted him from his daze as he saw one of his favorite students from a few years back. "Miss Amiens!" He exclaimed, rising from his position on the old, worn wooden chair at the small, circular table. "Please have a seat!" He said, tapping the other chair with his Mohagony wand, making the chiar move slightly backwards to make room for her to sit. "Please, tell me how you've been!"
