There is a list of rules below, and we expect you all, as members, to follow them. Failure to do so will result in severe consequences, which will be chosen wisely, depending upon the rule that you break and how you break it. The previously not-so-strict Magical Purpose is changing, and we are laying down the law. You WILL abide by the rules, no ifs ands or buts about it.

Sure, I (Amber), sound really mean and evil in the rules, but I really am not--ask almost anyone. Please read these through, or else you will not get to the applications board password.

ONE}}

RESPECT all members on the site, especially those on the administration or in a higher authority position. If you fail to do so, you will be warned, which is not always good, especially if I, Amber (Esme), am the one punishing you. Ask some members: I can be a total b!tch. DO NOT argue with the admins or anyone else on the authority side of the site. You have NO IDEA how pissed I get when people do this.

TWO}}

NO CANON CHARACTER RELATIONS. You are not allowed to have the last names of characters from the books, unless, of course, it is something simple like Black. However, if you are to use this particular name, you are NOT allowed to be related to a character from the book. With that said, we move to rule number three.

THREE}}

NO CANON CHARACTERS. There are to be NO Harry Potters, Hermione Grangers, or Draco Malfoys. If you have one of these names, you will be asked to change it. Arguing and persuasion will just get you no where.

FOUR}}

YOU MUST HAVE A REAL NAME. You are NOT allowed to leave your display name as your login name. This is a BIG no! by saying this, I mean that you cannot have this displayed as your name "hplover4eva". Instead, you must have the name (first and last) of your character. A good example is mine, Esmerelda Cifuentes. You have a brain, use it. If you need help thinking of a name, ask me or another member. We are all creative and enjoy helping others.

FIVE}}

ROLE PLAYING is to be done in third-person point-of-view and in past tense. If you fail to follow this rule, you will have a warning. Also, you must use proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, et cetera. If you want a good example of it, I will PM you a nice long post that I have done in the past and hopefully that will set things straight. Also, posts are to be no shorter than 300 characters (letters, punctuation, etc.). There is a set limit on this.

SIX}}

THERE IS TO BE NO USE OF VULGAR LANGUAGE OR SEXUAL REFERENCES! I don't care if you like it or not, no one cares if Bobby Joe and Mary Sue want to start a family; you are not allowed to have sexual references or threads on this site. You are allowed to use profanity, but only to a mild extent. There are younger members on this site, and I doubt very seriously they want to read all of those crap threads.

SEVEN}}

YOU MUST BE THIRTEEN TO REGISTER! If you are below thirteen years of age, sorry, you cannot join. This is not our rule, but rather, this is the rule of proboards. If you are under thirteen, we, the administration and site in total, can get into some severe trouble. Please abide by this rule!

EIGHT}}

THERE ARE TO BE NO RACIAL, RELIGIOUS, OR PREJUDICE COMMENTS MADE! If you are going to be prejudiced against someone because of their background, you might not want to join. We take things very seriously, and if you have a problem with it, too bad.

NINE}}

NO OOC POSTING IN IC POSTS. Sure, if you have to go and want to let someone know you are leaving, tell them SHORTLY in the post. There is an OOC board for you to use to talk OOC. If there is a MUST for posting OOC in IC topics, you must make it noticeable that it is OOC. Ways of doing this are brackets, double parenthesis, or other ways that make it obvious.

TEN}}

DO NOT STEAL THE SITE WORK! The work on this site is copyright to the members, being that their work is their work and not yours. If you wish to possibly use something on the site, please ask for administration permission and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

ELEVEN}}

HAVE FUN! This is the most important thing. Please make sure that you have fun and enjoy yourself. There are rules for a reason, but we want you to have plenty of fun so that we can have a nice enjoyable RP environment. The applications password is butterbeer.

TWELVE}}

ADVERTISING. If you want to advertise, feel free. Invite friends, family, and anyone you can think of to the site. We love new members and activity.
